TRANSCRIPT INTERVIEW OF: * Typed transcripts of the oral history interviews for the Historic
Black Berea Project are designed to represent talk between an interviewer
and their respondent (interviewee). Other persons who were present during
the interview may also be identified on the transcript. Occasionally,
an annotation will be added to the transcript to enrich the contextual
information that is pertinent to the conversation. Most transcripts are
incomplete due to talk that was difficult to hear. All of the opinions
expressed by the respondents are their own and they have given their written
permission for scholarly and educational use of their interviews.
