Dr. Tiya Miles - Ties that Bind: African American and Native American Interrelations

Awarded a 2011 MacArthur Foundation Fellowship for her work on African American and Native American history, Dr. Miles is a professor in American Culture, History, Afro-American and African Studies, and Native American Studies at the University of Michigan. She is also founder of "ECO Girls," an environmental and cultural organization for girls in urban Southeast Michigan.
