"Global Feminism and Indigenous Women Rising"

Yi-Chun Tricia Lin, Director and Professor of Women's Studies at Southern Connecticut State University and former president of the National Women's Studies Association, offers a transnational feminist perspective of indigenous women rising, resisting, and organizing for movements and political projects, local and global, such as the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, Idle No More, Standing Rock, and Kanakanavu nation building in Taiwan.

Free and open to the public, this event is co-sponsored by the Center for International Education and the Asian Studies program. Lunch is served at 11:45.
