DR. MARGARET LOWMAN: "Life in the Treetops: Adventures of a Woman in Rain Forest Exploration"

Forest canopies benefit all of us, providing climate regulation, medicines, food, and fresh water cycling. Dr. Lowman, Director of Global Initiatives and Lindsay Chair of Botany at the California Academy of Sciences, takes us into the treetops of the Amazon, Ethiopia, Bhutan, and Australia to illustrate the links between canopy exploration and forest conservation.
