Summer 2016 Service-Learning Course Design Seminar
(Educational Opportunity)

The Center for Excellence in Learning through Service (CELTS) will offer a service-learning course design seminar to faculty interested in developing a service-learning course or in adding a service-learning component to an existing course.

During the intensive seminar, participating faculty will engage in readings and discussions with faculty colleagues who are interested in teaching with service-learning. By the end of the seminar, each participant will have designed a service-learning project and created a syllabus for a service-learning course that s/he plans to teach in the near future. There will be a special emphasis on campus-community partnerships. The seminar will meet all day on Monday, June 13; throughout the rest of the week, participants will meet from the mornings through early afternoons, with afternoons designated for reading and assignments related to the seminar. The seminar will be facilitated by Wendy Williams and Ashley Cochrane.

If you would like to participate in this summer's seminar, please contact Ashley Cochrane, ext. 3605.
