Conducting Effective Performance Evaluation - for Supervisors

Getting the work done is one thing; getting it done well requires clear expectations, consistent focus, ongoing review, and adjustment to changing conditions. The 'performance review' aspect is crucial - both informal and formal. As a key supervisor responsibility, it is integral to employee success. To support the Annual Evaluation period, this session provides an overview of evaluation processes and techniques that support successful work.

Objectives:
- Understand how to support success through an ongoing Performance Cycle
- Consider how to prepare and conduct an effective Annual Evaluation
- Identify methods to keep track of performance to make Annual Evaluation easier
- Consider effective ways to provide feedback to develop performance
- Recognize informal and formal processes to address performance problems
