"Creating Healthy Communities with Healthy Forests", a Dinner on the Grounds
(Educational Opportunity)

Forests in the United States are one of our best and most underutilized tools for economic development. Well managed forests create many benefits including clean air, clean water, hunting, fishing and recreation. Private forest lands are the single largest contributor to Kentucky's $8.3 billion forest products sector. Fred Clark, Executive Director of the Forest Stewards Guild will discuss the role schools like Berea can play in promoting sustainable forest management, sustaining healthy communities, and protecting forested landscapes in our region.

Please join us for a light lunch at 11:45 a.m. with the program beginning at noon.
