Computer Science Alumni Presentation: User Experience in Industry
(Educational Opportunity)

By Katie Panciera (2005), User Experience Researcher, Google

Do you ever wonder why some pieces of software are easy to use and others are so difficult? Or why the apps you use look the way they do? This interactive talk will help you understand some of the critical concepts behind good user experiences and how you may be able to apply those to your own projects. In addition, I'll discuss different types of user experience roles in industry and how those relate to roles that you may be more familiar with such as software engineering.
