United Way Campaign 2015 Extension
(Administrative)

As Berea College's 2015 United Way campaign comes to a close, we want to cross the finish line strong. The challenges faced by those in our community are real. Did you know?
Over 21,000 kids in Central Kentucky are living at or near poverty
2 out of 5 high school graduates are unprepared for college or career
1 in 2 students are not prepared to enter Kindergarten
50,000 working families in the Bluegrass are struggling to make ends meet
You can help. Simply fill out the attached United Way pledge form and return it to Debra Sievers in Human Resources by Friday, November 13.
United Way of the Bluegrass has made a commitment to providing consistent funding to local programs here in Madison County and across Central Kentucky. You are helping your friends, neighbors and family.
Consider this:
Giving to United Way is convenient. Payroll deduction allows you to make a real difference in your community by spreading your investment throughout the year.
Investing in United Way is effective. United Way is the most effective investment you can make in our community. You can see the return on your investment through our Community Prospectus, found online at www.uwbg.org/reports.
United Way is efficient. United Way's fundraising costs are low - less than half of the level suggested by the Better Business Bureau. Transparency is critically important, and that's why we have our audited financial statements, IRS documents and more easily found on our website at www.uwbg.org/reports.
United Way is local. When you give to United Way of the Bluegrass, your gift stays right here in your community. In fact, 98 cents of every dollar you invest remains in Central Kentucky.
Please contact our United Way liaison, Tiffany Smith, at 859.977.7381 if you have any questions. Thanks so much for supporting our community where we work and live.
Thank you for your support.
