Tibetan Buddhist Teachings
(Educational Opportunity)

During their week-long visit to Berea College, the Tibetan Buddhist monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery will offer a public teaching session. Tibetan Buddhist traditions share much in common with other Buddhist traditions, but also are distinctive in many ways, including their focus on transforming negative states of mind into their positive opposites through meditation using ritual images (mandalas), chants (mantras), and gestures (mudras). This evening program offers a rare oppportunity to learn directly from masters of one of the world's richest spiritual traditions.
