Tibetan Sand Mandala Construction
(Convocations)

Join the Tibetan Buddhist monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery as they painstakingly create a beautiful, complex mandala using tiny grains of multi-colored sand. This traditional act is said to purify ones consciousness and karma even as it produces a stunning work of visual art. At the end of the week, the resulting mandala will be ceremonially destroyed and its components will be returned to the elements of earth and water from whence they came.
