Asian Studies Colloquium: "Atheology (or Why East Asian Religions Matter)"
(Educational Opportunity)

Professor Paul Fischer of Western Kentucky University will discuss "atheology' -- the study of the fundamental source of meaning and morality in a religion without gods. Such religions include Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism, and though these faiths may be outnumbered by theistic religions, their influence has nevertheless been widespread, long-lasting, and profoundly relevant, especially in East Asia.
