Welcome
to the Buddhist Student Association
The
Buddhist Student Association's purpose is to develop and sustain
a community for Buddhist students at Berea College, and to promote
dialogue among Buddhists and non-Buddhists in the Berea community.
In other words, we hope that you come to BSA with an open mind
and a thirst for learning about the history behind Buddhism,
its origins, and a better understanding of its principles and
practices.
While attending BSA meetings, you will often find yourself participating
with other students who have many insightful ideas and thought-provoking
questions. Be prepared for a learning experience!
Past activities have ranged from regular meetings with BSA club
members to spark conversations about videos, speeches, and other
presentations to visiting Buddhist monasteries in order to attend
meditation sessions. BSA even went to Bloomington,
Indiana to hear His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama of Tibet speak.
Come out and see what awaits BSA in the coming year!
