Samantha Cole
Samantha Cole is from Beattyville, Kentucky. January 2008 marks her first time working with Appalachian Heritage, something she hopes to continue throughout her college career. Samantha plans on pursuing a degree in Appalachian Studies before going on to pursue one of her many interests. Although she has yet to decide upon her post-graduation plans, she hopes to one day return to her home in the mountains to continue doing one of the things she loves best: writing.
Erin Hay
Erin Hay, who grew up in rural Paris, Kentucky, is a student employee of Appalachian Heritage for the duration of the summer of 2008. She is an English major (with a concentration in writing) at Berea College and plans to graduate with the class of 2011. Her interests include reading fantasy novels, engaging in creative writing, cooking, and hiking. She intends to glean from the College as many wonderful experiences as possible and to follow the path of life as it whisks her onward.
