Juli Sloan has been working as a student assistant editor of Appalachian Heritage since Fall 2005. An English major from the green farmlands of Ashland, Ohio, her passions include, of course, writing in her journal, reading, and also unexpectedly, the New York Yankees. She is excited about the head start on her career that she has received by working for the magazine. After her graduation in the Spring of 2008, she aspires to continue a career in editing. Long-term goals for her are to one day own a used bookstore.
