Ashley Lawrence
Ashley Lawrence is a Junior Art Education major from Clinton, Tennessee. Her labor position has been with Appalachian Heritage since her Freshman year, and she has had the opportunity and pleasure of training several of our student workers including Juli Sloan and Mary Rush. She is a passionate visual artist with a concentration in painting, and has won several awards for her artwork through art shows. Ashley will graduate in December 2008 with teacher certification and plans to teach high school art in the Southeastern area.
Juli Sloan
Juli Sloan has been working as a student assistant editor of Appalachian Heritage since Fall 2005. An English major from the green farmlands of Ashland, Ohio, her passions include, of course, writing in her journal, reading, and also unexpectedly, the New York Yankees. She is excited about the head start on her career that she has received by working for the magazine. After her graduation in the Spring of 2008, she aspires to continue a career in editing. Long-term goals for her are to one day own a used bookstore.
