Monday, Nov 2 -- Morehead -- Coffee Tree Bookstore hosts Silas House reading from Eli the Good.  7:00pm.

Wednesday, Nov 4 -- Richmond -- Dorothy Sutton will discuss and read Kentucky poems from her new book, Backing Into Mountains, at 6:45, at the regular Wednesday Night Discussion Series, First Presbyterian Church (Lower Fellowship Hall), Main Street, followed by book signing. Tonight’s discussion is "Poetry as Communion On Our Human Journey."  Free and open to public

Thursday, November 5 -- Flemingsburg -- Georgia Green Stamper will speak at the Fleming County Public Library at 7 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.  Stamper is the author of You Can Go Anywhere and is an NPR local commentator on WUKY 91.3 FM

Thursday, November 5 -- Morehead -- Crystal Wilkinson and George Eklund will read from their works at the Kentucky Folk Art Center.  7:00pm.  An event in the Morehead State University Reading Series. Free and open to the public.

Thursday, November 5 - Knoxville Writer's Guild - Marianne Worthington, editor of the Motif book anthologies, will be speaking at the Thursday, November 5 meeting of the Knoxville Writers' Guild.  Worthington will be discussing the challenges of editing a multi-volume, multi-genre anthology, and will be conducting a reading from Writing by Ear, An Anthology of Writings about Music, with several of the book's Knoxville contributors lending their voices. Knoxville native Marianne Worthington has been a resident of Williamsburg , KY since 1990.  Worthington is at present the poetry editor for both Now & Then: The Appalachian Magazine and Still: Literature of the Mountain South, the new online journal.

Thursday, November 5 – Sunday, November 8 – Aurora Writers’ Retreat in Aurora, West Virginia. Writers will enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of Cathedral State Park and Aurora with the opportunity to further the vision of the Aurora Project. Friday, November  6 -- Berea College -- Robert J. Conley, distinguished Cherokee author, will give a reading celebrating of the Fall 2009 issue of Appalachian Heritage for which Conley is the featured author. The event is free and open to the public and will begin at 7:30 with refreshments, followed by the reading at 8:00 in the Gallery of the Loyal Jones Appalachian Center in the Bruce Building.

Saturday, November 7 -- Richmond -- Hastings will host Darlene Snyder signing Casting Bread Upon the Water.  4:00-6:00pm.

Saturday, November 7 -- London -- Danna Estridge will discuss and sign her newest book, The Genealogist’s Guide to Digital Photography, 3:00-5:00pm.  Brookhaven Christian Books, 110 London Shopping Center. Phone 606-864-8630 for more information
