Saturday, August 11—Kentuckians Reading Kentuckians will be held at the Janice Hold Giles House near Knifley, Kentucky. Readers may register to read a piece of their own writing or a piece of a Kentucky author's writing. The event lasts from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.

Saturday, August 25—The Appalachian Heritage Alliance will be holding their Appalachian Circuit Writers Project at the Menifee County Library in Kentucky. Anne Shelby will be the workshop leader.
