Monday, July 10-Thursday, Jul 27—The Knoxville Writers’ Guild will hold it’s sixth annual Summer Writing Workshops at Pellissippi State Technical and Community College’s Hardin Valley campus. Twelve regionally and nationally known writers will teach participants how to write memoirs, songs, children’s stories, magazine articles, and much more. Wednesday, July 12—Sharon Hatfield will receive the Thomas and Lillie D. Chaffin Award for Excellence in Appalachian Writing from Morehead State University.
