Tuesday, Aug. 31—The Great Smokies Writing Program and the University of North Carolina Asheville are offering six fall workshops this semester in Asheville, NC. Tommy Hays will teach a class entitled “Give Up and Write: An Advanced Creative Prose Workshop,” Kathy Sheldon will teach “The Craft of Poetry: A Poetry Workshop” and “Finding Your Voice: A Poetry Workshop,” Neal Thompson will teach “Telling the Truth: A Creative Non-fiction and Freelance Writing Workshop,” and Jasmine Beach-Ferrara will teach “Getting Started: a Beginning Fiction Workshop.” The classes have limited space, and early registration is suggested.
