Monday, March 17—UNC Asheville's Writers at Home spring 2003 series will continue with readings by local authors Julia Nunnally Duncan and Chrysse Everhart at 3 p.m. at Malaprop's Bookstore/ Cafe, 55 Haywood St. downtown Asheville. The program is free and open to the public.
Tuesday, March 18—Phyllis Wilson Moore will present her power point program "Women Authors of WV" for Women's History Month at noon at the Summersville branch of Glenville State College. The brown bag lunch event is free and open to the public.

Thursday – Sunday, March 20 – 23—The ninth annual Virginia Festival of the Book is pleased to announce that acclaimed storyteller Lee Smith will be the speaker for the annual luncheon, which takes place at 11:45 a.m. at the Charlottesville Omni Hotel, in Charlottesville,VA. Denise Giardina will present at 10:00 a.m. at the New Dominion Bookshop at UVa Central Grounds Parking Garage. William Hoffman will be on a panel, along with Cathryn Hankla. There will also be a session on To Close to Call by Michael Kelsay. A reading will be presented by Charles Wright on Negative Blue: A Short HIstory of the Shadow, and another reading by Ron Rash on One Foot in Eden.
